I would say this is very reliable as you can feel it's a very solid product as soon as you get a hold of it. Results are better than lots of flat irons I've used before. When i say better, i mean, my hair feels more smooth with this and also it has quite a sleek shine!

This is not the top cortex flat iron but it's definitely good enough for me. There are other cortex that reaches a higher maximum heat, but I personally don't need that extra power. My hair isn't extremely curly, and thick. I have pretty normal hair, so this flat iron is all I need for an amazing result. It's very easy to handle this iron because it's very light. One thing I wish it had was dual voltage, which some of the other cortex features - that would be very convenient. But hey, it's only 75 bucks, can't ask for TOO much.

handle your hair with a good styler! January 26, 2010

It took a whole 45 mins to straighten my hair before. Now with my new Cortex flat iron it takes me 10-15 minutes and my hair is very long. It's fun to play with the curling features and try to perfect your skills on this. You should give it a try if you have difficult hair to handle.

I like this flat iron. I haven't used tons of flat irons before so I'm not one to give professional advice. All I know is this cortex pro makes me feel like I'm styling my hair like a pro because the results are splendid! Loving how smooth my hair feels after using this.
