Cortex does a great job again with the SOLO! Lots of flat irons out there that raves about having incredibly hot plates and heating up fast, I really can't imagine something heating up faster than this and also clamping onto your hair and going right through it so easily! This is a winner!

Nice and simple flat iron. Super easy to use and also looks very sexy. It was a pretty tough choice to choose which version i wanted for this cortex line, but in the end I stuck with the 1" plates. Anybody try the wider plates? find any advantage to them? let me know!

Fabulous Titanium Quality! |

My last flat iron was using ceramic plates and it still caused my hair to frizz up when it's very humid. This Cortex titanium however effectively smooths my hair and it stays smooth all day. The temperature control is very responsive and I'm just loving this iron!

I like the outlook of this zebra flat iron as well as hair outcome I'm able to produce. I'm pretty spontaneous in terms of hair style, and I manage to do the funkiest things with the cortex. The hot heat makes the styling fast and it strives extremely well throughout my long hair. Recommend this for people looking for a funkier looking flat iron!

I absolutely love this hair straightener. The Zebra look is a bonus since I got to choose it over the boring regular look. Besides the aesthetics, the quality of this cortex straightener is amazing. My hair is not exactly the most smooth and easy hair to style, yet, I don't have a single problem using this! It glides right through my hair - I can't believe how easy it is. Super easy to handle, and it doesn't feel heavy at all. The heat is powerful, hotter than any other straighteners that I've owned before. The amazing thing about the hot temperature is that it has never burnt my hair before. Definitely due to the heat being so well balanced throughout the plates. I give this 2 thumbs up!
