I'm getting ready for all the summer outings so i picked up this hair straightener by Cortex. So far so good. I haven't had any problems and I've used it often for a few weeks now! The best thing I like about it is that I have very thick hair, and I've had trouble straightening my hair in the past. It always took so many tries. With this straightener, it's only taking me one glide across my hair and onto the next section! Sometimes it'll take 2 tries, but that occurs rarely. This is making me very happy!

Avg flat iron I'd say. I prefer Babyliss more than this cortex as I Feel their plates are more cut for the job. My cousin that uses this cortex with me often is actually liking the results of it a lot. She feels as though the plates are very quality made as she calls it "So smooth!!" but for me, I think they're alright. What does everyone else think??

This is a great new flat iron collection. The Cortex Solo 450 tourmaline ceramic flat iron tops off the charts in terms of power. There are other brands like corioliss that also features a maximum heat of 450F. But the cortex is the only brand that offers such power, and quality plates for an easily affordable price. It's only 130 dollars for this. That's insane cheap for a flat iron that heats up almost instantly, frizz free, and always makes my hair come out looking healthy and sleek. It easily straightens your hair too. I like the wide 1-1/4" plates because it grasp onto more hair at once and it makes the styling process even faster. Give the cortex solo 450 a try for yourself!

Finally an affordable flat iron that's powerful, and feature packed! The scorching 450F attracted me right away and along with its tourmaline ceramic plates, I knew this cortex 450 was the one to get. I didn't get the 1" wide plates because I personally like speed. I find using wider plates a lot faster to straighten my hair because it clamps onto more hair. I'm not too precise with styling my hair, so I don't need the precision with the thinner plates. I like to get things done fast! So i got this 1-1/4" and it has been giving me the best results compared to my old Sedu flat iron.
